Steph was born and raised in Pennsylvania where she was introduced to the sport of ski racing by her father, Woody. Ski racing quickly became her passion and she moved to New Hampshire to attend Waterville Valley Academy at the age of 13. In total, Steph ski raced for over 20 years including her two seasons on the FIS Ski Cross World Cup and JEEP Tours. While living and competing in Salt Lake City, Utah, Steph earned her bachelor's degree in Exercise Sports Science and minor in Nutrition with an emphasis in research from the University of Utah. Her coaching background includes multiple lead coaching roles across the nation including Snowbird Ski Team, Stratton Mountain School, and Waterville Valley Academy. At Waterville she ran the FIS Women’s program during the transition of the academy from winter term operations to a year-round academy. She has coached multiple Jr athletes who have moved on to race at the World Cup level, and is currently providing equipment management and full time service to active USST C-Team member Zoe Zimmerman. Since 2013 Steph has devoted 100% of her time to developing the RTuning brand and customer base. Steph is the muscle behind RTuning, managing athlete equipment orders and sponsorship, communication with coaches and parents to cover all aspects of the athletes’ needs, and organizing and coaching the RTuning race camps in both North America and Europe. In 2017 Steph worked with Burke Mountain Academy to develop an in-house service center, managing the purchase and operation of a Montana stone grinder and campus service center. She was solely responsible for the prep and maintenance tunes for all academy athletes.
